FolderClone – Backup and Synchronize Data
Salty Brine Software is a company that has been in business for more than a decade and a half; during all this time the dedicated development team has focused on providing you, the computer user, with easy to use, properly powerful software applications that you can use to manage your files. Two such applications stand out – they are similarly named and provide similar functionality: FolderMatch and FolderClone.
We’re reviewed FolderMatch in the past and found it to be quite useful especially to the computer user that has to maintain multiple copies of folders and files. FolderMatch helps such an user compare two folder trees or two files and either synchronize them, or delete unnecessary copies of the same data.
FolderClone, just like FolderMatch, can help you keep your data synchronized. For example, if you have to frequently switch from a desktop computer to a laptop, keeping all the important bits synchronized could prove to be a hassle. With FolderClone it’s a breeze.
Whenever someone asks me why he should backup his data, I have to quote Randy Abrams, Director of Technical Education with Eset: “if your data is important enough to put on a hard drive, be sure you back it up.” If you have important data that needs to be backed up, FolderClone is more than capable to perform this task.
In a work environment, the functionality provided by this Salty Brine-developed application (download weighs in at just 5.5MB) is a much welcomed one. The application can backup, synchronize, replicate and mirror important files – files that need to be accessed by the employees.
All the functionality provided by Folder Clone would be wasted if the software would be hard to use. Obviously, the development team behind this application figured this out and developed FolderClone with ease of use in mind. The software is so easy to use that even the novice computer user can pick up the basics in no time at all.
There are two versions of FolderClone available for download: FolderClone Standard and FolderClone Professional. In our presentation we’ve focused on the functionality provided by FodlerClone Standard. If you want to get something that provides all the functionality in FolderClone Standard and some additional features, then go for FolderClone Professional.
